Cartoon

Written by Steve Yockey
Directed by Ryan Hugh McWilliams and Aundre Seals

Join the exploits of a band of mismatched cartoon stereotypes on a wild ride through this animated world. Presented in the style of a Commedia dell’Arte scenario gone berserk, Cartoon is a devilishly violent social commentary that explores the rapid coalescence of media, politics and consumer giants. A young, idealistic upstart named Trouble steals the giant hammer that Esther, the bratty dictator, uses to maintain a monotonous but peaceful order. Chaos ensues. Bombs explode. Puppets are set free. Anime girls fight. And as the bodies pile up, the violence begins to creep off the stage and into the audience.

There’s nothing like a punch in the face to really get the blood moving.

C.N.T. (Consumer Network Television)

In a world full of stress, carcinogens, and electoral mess it’s nice to know the safety blanket of home shopping is there to relax our nerves with its 24-hour, 1-800, commercial teat. But what if it all came to an end? What if our god given right to purchase imported crap sitting on our self constructed Swedish furniture was threatened? Or even worse...destroyed?

We present...C.N.T. (Consumer Network Television) a fanatical atmospheric look at consumerism, the media and terrorism. Written by Damon Heath Sager, based on a concept by director Ryan Hugh McWilliams and featuring the talented actors of New York’s very own Gossip Factory. Show your true colors, the colors that never bleed (thanks Oxy Clean!), and buy a ticket to what is sure to be theatre’s most patriotic comedic adventure.
